macOS utility · NoBrainer Res

Make the display mode part of the workflow.

NoBrainer Res is a native macOS menu bar utility for switching between display modes already exposed by macOS. It is built for people who work with a Mac remotely and want a quicker path than opening System Settings.

What it helps with

Less hunting. More working.

Keep the small display decisions close to the work, especially when the Mac is somewhere else and the screen is part of the bottleneck.

01

Switch native modes

See the modes macOS exposes for each connected display and move between them from the menu bar.

02

Save profiles

Keep recurring display setups together so a known arrangement is one click away.

03

Lock a display

Keep an available native mode in place for a selected display while the app is running.

04

Use shortcuts

Cycle modes or apply profiles without leaving the task that is open in front of you.

Remote Mac workflow

A shorter path from connection to comfortable screen.

  1. 1
Connect to the MacUse your existing Screen Sharing or remote desktop workflow.
  2. 2
Open the menu barChoose a display and select one of its available modes.
  3. 3
Keep the setupSave a profile or lock the mode you want to keep using.

Honest limitation

It does not invent a mode macOS does not expose.

If a display or remote setup does not provide a resolution, NoBrainer Res does not promise to synthesize it. A target such as 3000x1800 is available only when the current display reports that native mode.
